The short version. MoneyBook keeps all of your data on your device. There is no account and no sign-up. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your information. There is no tracking, no analytics, and no ads.

MoneyBook is a personal expense tracker designed to be private by default. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app, published by KANECT FZE-LLC. In short: it stays with you.

1. Information we collect

None. MoneyBook does not require an account, email, phone number, or any sign-up. We do not collect personal information, usage analytics, or device identifiers. Everything you enter (transactions, accounts, categories, bills, budgets and notes) is stored only on your iPhone.

2. Where your data lives

Your data is saved in the app's local storage on your device. It is not uploaded to us or to any server. If you use Apple's device or iCloud backup, your app data may be included in your own Apple backup, which is controlled by you and protected by Apple. We have no access to it. MoneyBook does not sync between devices.

3. Features that run on your iPhone

Face ID lock. If you turn it on, MoneyBook asks your iPhone to confirm it's you with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode. This is handled by iOS; MoneyBook never sees or stores your face data, fingerprint or passcode.

Reminders. Daily and bill reminders are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone. They are not sent through any server.

Widgets. Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets read the same data the app keeps on your device.

4. Update check

To let you know when a newer version is available, the app reads a small file from the MoneyBook website at most once a day. The file only says which version is current. Nothing about you or your data is sent with this request, and the app works normally without a connection.

5. Optional tips

MoneyBook is free. If you choose to leave a one-time tip, the payment is handled entirely by Apple through your Apple Account. We do not receive your payment details.

6. What we do not do

  • We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.
  • We do not access your contacts, location, microphone, photos, or camera.
  • We do not include any third-party services that receive your data.
  • We do not sell or share your information, because we never collect it.

7. Data you choose to export

MoneyBook lets you export your records to a CSV file. This is always initiated by you. When you export, iOS lets you choose where the file goes (for example, Files, Mail, or another app). That destination is yours; MoneyBook does not receive a copy.

8. This website

This website has no analytics, no advertising and no cookies of its own. The free calculators run in your browser, and the numbers you type into them are not sent anywhere. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability.

9. Children's privacy

MoneyBook does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and post the revised version here.
